Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive at
Delhi, meeting assistance on arrival & transfer to your pre booked
hotel.
Overnight stay
at hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi – Jabalpur ( By Train)
Morning
is at leisure. In the afternoon you are transferred to the railway
station to board train to Jabalpur (the nearest railway station):
Gondwana Express dep. Delhi at 14:30hrs. Overnight on board the
train.
Day 03 : Jabalpur- Kanha (By Surface Approx 208 Kms)
On
arrival in the morning at 05:50hrs you will drive to Kanha National
Park, the original setting of Rudyard Kipling's famous "Jungle Book"
and the sole habitat of the rare hard-ground barasingha. On arrival
check into resort/lodge. In the evening embark on a jungle safari
inside the park. Kanha has some 22 species of mammals, most commonly
spotted are langur, jackal, wild pig, spotted deer, swamp deer,
sambar and black buck and also some 200 species of birds. Overnight
at resort / lodge.
Day 04
: In Kanha
Early in
the morning take a jeep safari into the park to view wildlife. Day
is at leisure to relax and explore the surroundings. Overnight at
resort / lodge.
Day 05
: In Kanha
Early in
the morning take a jeep safari into the park to view wildlife. Day
is at leisure to relax and explore the surroundings. Overnight at
resort / lodge.
Day 06 : Kanha - Bandhavgarh (By surface Approx 189
Kms)
This
morning you will drive to Bandhavgarh, the place where the famous
white tigers of Rewa were discovered. On arrival check into resort /
lodge. In the evening embark on a jungle safari into the park.
Bandhavgarh's large tiger population offers the best chance to see
this elusive cat. Apart from the tiger other species such as Indian
bison, sambar, barking deer, blue bull and a variety of birds can be
spotted. Overnight at resort / lodge.
Day 07 : In Bandhavgarh
Early in
the morning take a jeep safari into the park to view wildlife. Day
is at leisure to relax and explore the surroundings or visit the
14th-Century Bandhavgarh Fort, surrounded by numerous temples and
caves containing shrines and ancient Sanskrit inscriptions.
Overnight at resort / lodge.
Day 08 : In Bandhavgarh
Early in
the morning take a jeep safari into the park to view wildlife. Day
is at leisure to relax and explore the surroundings. In the evening
take another safari into the park. Overnight at resort / lodge.
Day 09 : Bandhavgarh – Umaria
Umaria – Agra (Overnight train)
Morning
free. Later drive to Umaria railway station (45 Kms) to board the
overnight train for Agra. Overnight at train
Day 10 : Arrive – Agra
Morning
arrive Agra, meet the representative & transfer to hotel. Afternoon
visit the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal (Friday Taj closed).
Day 11
: Agra - Bharatpur (By Surface Approx 56 Kms)
Thereafter drive to Bharatpur, the site of the World Heritage listed
famous Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary and check into your hotel.
Later enjoy a Rickshaw ride inside the Sanctuary to view the
bird-life. Keoladeo Ghana is the most spectacular sanctuary nesting
indigenous as well as migratory birds like the endangered Siberian
Cranes. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12
: Bharatpur – Ranthambhore (By Surface Approx
225 Kms)
Early in
the morning you will drive to Sawai Madhopur town, the base for
exploring the Ranthambhore National Park, a former hunting preserve
of the Maharaja and now a prime example of Project Tiger's
conservation efforts in Rajasthan.
In the
afternoon embark on a jeep safari inside the park. Apart from the
tigers the park is worth visiting for its scenery itself its lakes,
bird-life and system of rivers hemmed in by steep high crags and on
top of one of these is the imposing 10th century Fort. The park is
also peppered with ruined pavilions, cenotaphs and 'hides'.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 13
: In Sawai Madhopur
Early in
the morning embark on a game viewing jeep safari into the park.
Return to the hotel for breakfast. Day is at leisure to relax and/or
explore the town and its surroundings or visit the Ranthambhore
Fort. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 : Sawai Madhopur- Jaipur (By Surface Approx
180 Kms)
Early in
the morning you will embark on another jeep safari into the park.
Return to the hotel for breakfast. Thereafter you will drive to
Jaipur, the capital of the State of Rajasthan. On arrival check into
the hotel. In the afternoon tour the "Pink" City of Jaipur visiting
the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace, Jantar Mantar
Astronomical Observatory and the colourful bazaars. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 15 : Jaipur - Delhi (By Surface Approx
-256 Km s/05 Hrs)
In the
morning embark on an excursion to Amber Fort, located 11kms outside
the City. Here enjoy an Elephant Ride to reach the top of the Fort.
Later, you will drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival check into the
hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16 : Depart Delhi
Today you
are transferred to the airport to board your flight for onward
journey.
